Although he is mentally a typical 13-year-old, his physical appearance makes him look much older. Despite his condition, Auro is cheerful and full of life.
He lives with his mother, Vidya (Vidya Balan), a gynecologist. His father, Amol Arte (Abhishek Bachchan), is a young, progressive, and idealistic politician who wants to prove that politics can be a force for good. He is determined to help his son and give him a happy life.
