Yoon Chan Young

Biography

Yoon Chan-young (윤찬영), born on April 25, 2001, is a South Korean actor who began his career as a child actor.   

 

 

He gained wider public recognition for his role as Lee Cheong-san in the popular Netflix series All of Us Are Dead (2022) and for his lead role in the web series High School Return of a Gangster (2024), where he played both a high school student and the soul of a gangster inhabiting his body.   

 

 

Yoon Chan-young started acting at a young age, appearing in dramas like When a Man Falls in Love (2013) and Monstar (2013). He garnered early awards for his performance in the 2014 drama Mama, winning Best Young Actor at both the APAN Star Awards and the MBC Drama Awards.   

 

 

Throughout his career as a child actor, he portrayed the younger versions of lead characters in numerous television series, including Gap-dong (2014), Splendid Politics (2015), Six Flying Dragons (2015), Blow Breeze (2016), The King in Love (2017), and Still 17 (2018).   

 

 

In 2019, he received the Best Young Actor award at the SBS Drama Awards for his roles in Everything and Nothing and Doctor John.   

 

 

More recently, besides All of Us Are Dead and High School Return of a Gangster, his notable roles include Delivery Man (2023) and the upcoming Disney+ series Hyper Knife (2025), where he plays Seo Young-joo. He also had a minor role in Squid Game (2021).   

 

 

Yoon Chan-young is currently attending Hanyang University, majoring in theater and film.
