Vipin Mohan
Biography
Vipin Mohan is an Indian cinematographer who has worked primarily in Malayalam cinema. He is known for his collaborations with several prominent Malayalam filmmakers and for his contribution to the visual style of films from the 1980s onward.
He began his career as a cinematographer in Malayalam cinema and became associated with filmmakers such as Sathyan Anthikad, Priyadarshan and Kamal. His cinematography credits include films such as Poochakkoru Mookkuthi (1984), Nadodikkattu (1987), Varavelpu (1989), Akkare Akkare Akkare (1990), Sandesham (1991), Narayam (1993), Mookkilla Rajyathu (1991) and Kalippattam (1993).
Vipin Mohan is particularly remembered for his work during Malayalam cinema's celebrated 1980s and 1990s period. His cinematography supported both comedy and family dramas, while his collaborations with leading directors helped shape the visual character of many popular Malayalam films.
He has also worked in other South Indian film industries, but Malayalam cinema remains the principal focus of his career.
