Shammi Thilakan
Biography
Shammi Thilakan is an Indian actor and dubbing artist who predominantly works in the Malayalam film industry. He was born in Pathanamthitta, Kerala, India, and is the son of veteran Malayalam actor Thilakan. He began his acting career with Irakal (1985) and has appeared in more than 150 films. He is known for his performances in Dhruvam (1993), Lelam (1997), Pathram (1999), Sethurama Iyer CBI (2004), Keerthi Chakra (2006), Twenty:20 (2008), Run Baby Run (2012), Neram (2013), Sringaravelan (2013), Joji (2021), Padavettu (2022), Paappan (2022), King of Kotha (2023) and Anweshippin Kandethum (2024).
Besides acting, he is an accomplished dubbing artist who has lent his voice to several actors, including Napoleon in Devasuram and Prakash Raj in Odiyan. He has won Kerala State Film Awards for Best Dubbing Artist for Ghazal (1993) and Odiyan (2018). He is married to Usha, and they have a son, Abhimanyu.
