Sadhana Shivdasani (2 September 1941 – 25 December 2015), popularly known as Sadhana, was an Indian actress who became one of the biggest stars of Hindi cinema during the 1960s. Renowned for her beauty, elegant screen presence, and expressive performances, she was also credited with popularizing the iconic "Sadhana cut" hairstyle, which became a nationwide fashion trend.
She made her acting debut with Love in Simla (1960) and went on to star in several successful films, including Ek Musafir Ek Hasina (1962), Mere Mehboob (1963), Woh Kaun Thi? (1964), Arzoo (1965), Waqt (1965), Mera Saaya (1966), Anita (1967), Inteqam (1969), and Aap Aaye Bahaar Ayee (1971). She worked with many leading actors of her era, including Joy Mukherjee, Rajendra Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Sunil Dutt, Raj Kapoor, and Shammi Kapoor.
Sadhana received widespread acclaim for her performances in romantic, suspense, and dramatic roles, becoming one of the defining actresses of the golden age of Hindi cinema. She passed away on 25 December 2015 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, leaving behind a lasting legacy in Indian cinema.
