Reghunath Paleri
Biography
Reghunath Paleri, also known as Raghunath Paleri, is an Indian screenwriter, director, novelist and actor who has made significant contributions to Malayalam cinema. Born on 7 February 1954, he began working in the Malayalam film industry in the late 1970s.
He made his directorial debut with Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare (1986), which he also wrote. The film, starring Asha Jayaram and Geethu Mohandas, was critically acclaimed and won several Kerala State Film Awards.
As a screenwriter, Paleri has been associated with several notable Malayalam films, including My Dear Kuttichathan (1984), Ponmuttayidunna Tharavu (1988), Mazhavilkavadi (1989), Kadinjool Kalyanam (1991), Meleparambil Aanveedu (1993), Pingami (1994), Vanaprastham (1999), Devadoothan (2000), Madhuranombarakattu (2000), Swapnam Kondu Thulabharam (2003) and Madhuchandralekha (2006).
He also directed Vismayam (1998) and Kanneerinum Madhuram, while continuing his work as a writer. In later years, he became active as an actor, appearing in films such as Thottappan, Naradan, Neeraja, Vedikkettu, O.Baby and Oru Kattil Oru Muri.
