Ramesh Pisharody
Biography
Ramesh Pisharody is an Indian actor, comedian, mimicry artist, television presenter, writer and film director who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. Born on 1 October 1981 in Alathur, Palakkad, Kerala, he began his career as a mimicry artist and became widely known through Malayalam television and stage performances.
He joined Salim Kumar's mimicry troupe Cochin Stallions in 2000 and performed in numerous stage programmes. His television career included popular programmes such as Cinemala, Comic Cola and Badai Bungalow, where his comic timing and mimicry performances earned him a wide audience.
Pisharody made his film debut with Nasrani (2007), followed by Positive (2008). He later appeared in numerous Malayalam films, including Kappal Muthalaali (2009), Celluloid (2013), Left Right Left (2013), Immanuel (2013), Charlie (2015) and Amar Akbar Anthony (2015).
He made his directorial debut with Panchavarnathatha (2018), starring Kunchacko Boban and Jayaram. He subsequently directed Ganagandharvan (2019), which featured Mammootty in the lead role. He has also received recognition for his work as a television entertainer and anchor.
In 2026, Pisharody entered electoral politics and was elected as a Member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly from Palakkad, representing the Indian National Congress.
