Biography

Nayanthara Chakravarthy, also known as Baby Nayanthara, is an Indian actress who predominantly worked as a child artist in Malayalam cinema. She was born on 20 April 2002 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and began acting at the age of three.

 

 

Early Life

Nayanthara is the daughter of Maninath Chakravarthy and Bindu Maninath and has a younger brother, Ayaan Chakravarthy. She studied at Christ Nagar School in Thiruvananthapuram before completing her schooling at The Choice School in Thrippunithura, Kochi.

 

 

Acting Career

Nayanthara made her film debut as a child artist in Kilukkam Kilukilukkam (2006), playing Tinku Mol. Her performance earned her the Sathyan Memorial Award for Best Child Artist in 2006.

She subsequently appeared in numerous Malayalam films, including Achanurangatha Veedu, Chess, Notebook, Athisayan, Kanaka Simhasanam, Inspector Garud, Swarnam, Thirakkatha, Crazy Gopalan, Loudspeaker, Ee Pattanathil Bhootham, Trivandrum Lodge, Poppins, Silence, Little Superman and Marupadi.

Her performance in Swarnam earned her the Atlas Film Critics Award for Best Child Artist, while her work in Loudspeaker brought further recognition. She also received several other honours for child artists during her early career.

 

 

Later Career

After establishing herself as a successful child actress, Nayanthara gradually reduced her film appearances to concentrate on her education and personal pursuits. Her last listed film appearance was in Marupadi (2016), in which she played Riya.

Nayanthara Chakravarthy is remembered as one of the prominent child artists of Malayalam cinema in the 2000s. Her natural performances and extensive filmography at a young age earned her recognition from audiences and critics alike.
