Navjot Randhawa

Biography

Navjot Randhawa is an accomplished actress and theater artist who began her film career starring in Kabir Chowdhry's "Mehsampur," which won the Grand Jury Prize at MAMI 2018. She gained further international recognition with her leading roles in "The Shepherdess & the Seven Songs (Laila Aur Satt Geet)," which premiered at Berlinale 2020, and "KRIYA," which premiered at Fantasia International Film Festival 2020.

 

 

Before her film career, Navjot was active in Mumbai theater, debuting in Alyque Padamsee's "Death of a Salesman." She is also a playwright, having written three plays, including "Everything She Wants: Amrita & Boris," co-written with Jim Sarbh, which premiered in France and toured Hungary. Navjot directs the Andretta Arts Company and divides her time between London and Andretta in the Indian Himalayas.
