Mithra Kurian
Biography
Mithra Kurian is an Indian actress who has worked mainly in Malayalam and Tamil cinema. Born Dalma Kurian on 15 May 1989 in Perumbavoor, Kerala, she adopted the screen name Mithra Kurian for her acting career.
She made her acting debut as a child artist in the Malayalam film Achanurangatha Veedu (2005). She later appeared in supporting roles before gaining wider recognition through films such as Bodyguard (2010), in which she played the role of Ammu. The film was later remade in several Indian languages.
Mithra also worked in Tamil cinema, appearing in films including Kaavalan (2011), the Tamil remake of Bodyguard, and Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai (2011). Her filmography includes a mixture of romantic dramas, family entertainers and comedy films.
Among her Malayalam films are Bodyguard, Gaddama (2011), Masters (2012), Grandmaster (2012), Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty (2013) and Mylanchi Monchulla Veedu (2014). She has also made appearances in television programmes and remained associated with South Indian entertainment.
Mithra Kurian is remembered particularly for her performances in Malayalam and Tamil films during the late 2000s and early 2010s.
