Madhumitha
Biography
Madhumitha, born Swapna Madhuri, is an Indian actress who has worked primarily in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She began her acting career using her birth name with the Telugu film Sandade Sandadi (2002), in which she played a supporting role.
Career
Madhumitha subsequently appeared in Telugu films including Manmadhudu (2002), Ammayilu Abbayilu (2003), and Puttintiki Ra Chelli (2004). She made her Tamil film debut with R. Parthiban's Kudaikul Mazhai (2004), where she played the female lead. She adopted the screen name Madhumitha for her Tamil career.
She continued to work in Tamil and Telugu productions, appearing in films such as Yogi (2009), Thoonga Nagaram (2011), Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara (2012), Biriyani (2013), and Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019). She has also worked in television, including the Telugu series No.1 Kodalu.
Madhumitha has built a career mainly through supporting and character-oriented roles, working across both Tamil and Telugu-language entertainment. Her filmography reflects her long association with South Indian cinema.
