Latha Kurien Rajeev
Biography
Latha Kurien Rajeev is an Indian film producer, art historian, curator and educator associated with Malayalam cinema. Born in 1964 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, she is the wife of filmmaker T. K. Rajeev Kumar.
She began her film-production career with Jalamarmaram (1999), directed by T. K. Rajeev Kumar. The film dealt with environmental concerns and won the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation. Latha Kurien Rajeev shared the award as producer.
She subsequently produced Sesham (2002), starring Jayaram, Geethu Mohandas and Biju Menon. The film received several Kerala State Film Awards, including Best Film, and was noted for its sensitive treatment of mental health and social attitudes.
Her other production credit is Up & Down: Mukalil Oralundu (2013), a Malayalam psychological thriller directed by T. K. Rajeev Kumar.
