Krishna Marimuthu is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his work in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Born and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, he developed an early passion for filmmaking and storytelling. He pursued his education in Chennai and gradually entered the film industry with a strong interest in direction and screenplay writing.
Krishna Marimuthu began his career as an assistant director, gaining valuable experience while working on major film projects. His involvement in films such as Thaandavam and Thalaivaa helped him understand the technical and creative aspects of filmmaking and prepared him for a career as an independent director.
He made his directorial debut with the Telugu action thriller Yuddham Sharanam (2017). The film, starring Naga Chaitanya, introduced him as a filmmaker with an interest in emotional storytelling and action-driven narratives. Krishna later directed the Tamil romantic comedy Dharala Prabhu (2020), which received appreciation for its light-hearted treatment and engaging screenplay.
