Augustin's career in film production started early, at the age of 16, within an advertising film production company. Here, he gained foundational experience by working as an assistant director on over 20 commercials.

His notable breakthrough came with his debut feature film, "The Lift Boy," which he wrote, directed, and produced. Released in theatres across India, the UAE, and Taiwan in 2019, the film garnered significant attention. It was later acquired by Channel 4 in the UK, and in April 2020, Netflix secured the worldwide streaming rights, further expanding its reach. "The Lift Boy" also saw theatrical releases in Poland and was acquired for worldwide in-flight sales, demonstrating its broad appeal.

Beyond "The Lift Boy," Augustin has also directed and acted in the short film "Purgatory" (2015). He is also involved in other projects as a producer, including "Madappally United" (2022) and the upcoming "Life is Beautiful" (completed).
