Gemini Ganesan was one of the most celebrated actors in the history of Tamil cinema. Known for his charming personality and romantic roles, he earned the nickname “Kadhal Mannan” (King of Romance). Early Life and Education
Gemini Ganesan was born on November 17, 1920, in Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu, India. His birth name was Ramasamy Ganesan. He grew up in a traditional Tamil family and received his education in Tamil Nadu.
He studied at Madras Christian College, one of the most prestigious colleges in South India. Initially, he worked as a lecturer before entering the film industry.
The nickname “Gemini” was derived from the famous Gemini Studios, where he worked in the casting department before becoming an actor.
Entry into Cinema
Gemini Ganesan entered the Tamil film industry in the early 1950s. His early roles helped him gain attention for his natural acting style and screen presence.
