Dinjith Ayyathan

Biography

Dinjith Ayyathan is an Indian film director, screenwriter and VFX/animation artist who works primarily in Malayalam cinema. He was born in Thalassery, Kannur, Kerala, and began his career in animation and visual effects before moving into feature-film direction.

Before becoming a director, Ayyathan worked in VFX and animation and was involved with projects including 1983, Philips and the Monkey Pen, Jo and the Boy and Action Hero Biju. He also contributed to the animated series Little Krishna and worked with international animation companies.

 

 

He made his directorial debut with Kakshi: Amminippilla (2019), a satirical courtroom comedy-drama starring Asif Ali, Ahmed Sidhique and Fara Shibla. The film explores marriage, divorce and relationships through a humorous courtroom narrative.

Ayyathan gained wider recognition with Kishkindha Kaandam (2024), a mystery thriller starring Asif Ali, Vijayaraghavan and Aparna Balamurali. The film combines family drama, psychological mystery and themes involving memory and hidden secrets.

His subsequent film Eko (2025) further established his reputation for genre-driven storytelling.
