Bethany Ashton Wolf is an American filmmaker known for her work as a director, screenwriter, and producer. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, she developed a passion for the visual arts and Southern storytelling from an early age. After graduating from St. Louis Catholic High School, she moved to Los Angeles in her early twenties to pursue a career in the film industry.
Wolf began her career as an actress but soon transitioned into writing and directing. She co-wrote the independent film Don's Plum (2001), which featured performances by Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire.
