Biography
Ashish Deo is an Indian screenwriter and film director who began his career in television with Chhoti Si Yeh Duniya in association with Vishesh Films. He has written and directed several documentaries and films, and is also an accomplished theatre artist. His Marathi plays have run for hundreds of shows and have been translated into Hindi and Gujarati, and he has additionally directed an English-language play.
His work has been recognized and used by prominent film critics and directors such as Ramesh Sippy and Ravi Rai, and has been associated with major television production houses including Cinevistaas, Kushan Nandy Creations, Mad Films, and UTV. His television credits include Do Lafzon Ki Kahani and Chacha Chowdhary for Sahara One; Saturday Suspense, Suspense Hour, and Thriller at Ten for Zee TV; Kya Baat Hai? for Star Plus; as well as contributions to shows like Crime Patrol on Sony TV.
Deo made his film writing debut with 88 Antop Hill, a critically acclaimed suspense thriller. He has also received several awards, including the Best Film Award for Vasudeo Balwant Phadke.
