Biography

Archana Ravichandran is an Indian actress and television personality who primarily works in Tamil television and films. Born on 11 November 1997 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, she began her entertainment career as a video jockey before moving into television acting and reality shows.

Early Life and Career

Archana started her career as a video jockey with Sun TV, appearing in television programmes and gradually gaining recognition for her screen presence. She later made her acting debut in the Tamil television serial Raja Rani 2, where she portrayed the character Archana. Her performance helped her become familiar to Tamil television audiences.

She subsequently appeared in programmes including Murattu Singles, Comedy Raja Kalakkal Rani, Thaenmozhi B.A., and Indira. These appearances allowed her to explore different formats of television entertainment beyond scripted serials.

Bigg Boss Tamil

A major turning point in Archana's career came with her participation in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7. She entered the show as a wildcard contestant in 2023 and went on to win the title in January 2024. Her victory was particularly notable because she became the first wildcard contestant in the Indian Bigg Boss franchise's main series to win the season.

Her participation in the reality show significantly increased her popularity and helped establish her as a prominent television personality beyond her earlier acting work.

Film Career

Archana made her transition to Tamil cinema with Demonte Colony 2 (2024), a supernatural horror thriller directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu. She played Aishwarya in the film, marking an important step in her development as a film actress.

Alongside acting, Archana has appeared in music videos, including Imaigalo and Dhamma Thundu Kaadhal. In 2024, she also joined music director Arun Raj for the song Toxic Kadhal, expanding her work into music and performance.
