Binnu Dhillon, born on August 29, 1975, in Dhuri, Sangrur, Punjab, India, is a highly celebrated Indian actor and producer. He is widely recognized for his impeccable comic timing and versatile performances, making him a prominent and beloved figure in Punjabi cinema.

 

 

Early Life and Education:

Dhillon completed his schooling at Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir, Dhuri. He pursued higher education at Punjabi University, Patiala, where he earned a post-graduate degree in Theatre and Television. Before venturing into acting, Dhillon showcased his talent as a Bhangra performer, even having the opportunity to perform at India Festivals in Germany and the UK. He also continued to participate in plays during his university years.

 

 

Career in Entertainment:

Binnu Dhillon's journey in entertainment began on television. He made his debut in the serial Paddu in 1998, written and directed by Gurbir Singh Grewal. He went on to appear in numerous popular television serials such as Sarhad, Lori, Gaoundi Dharti, Jugnu Hazir Hai, and Professor Money Plant. He also performed in telefilms.

 

 

His transition to Punjabi cinema marked a significant turning point in his career. Dhillon made his film debut with Shaheed-E-Azam (2002). However, it was his role as Goldy Dhillon in the immensely popular film "Carry On Jatta" (2012) that brought him widespread recognition and established him as a leading comedic actor in the industry. The success of "Carry On Jatta" propelled him to stardom, leading to a string of hit films.
